II Corinthians 1:3 states, "Blessed be God, even the father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort." "The God of all comfort" is Pastor Bob's favorite name of God in the Bible (of which there are about 85). In the more than 125 funerals Pastor Bob has conducted in his 35 years at The Great Commission Baptist Church, Pastor Bob always reminds those in attendance that the greatest source of comfort is found in God's Word, the Bible. Pastor Bob has experienced "the God of all comfort" personally when he conducted the funerals of his maternal grandmother (not a believer), his father, his mother, his brother-in-law and his sister (all believers). Truly, He is "the God of all comfort."
